San Francisco....oh San Francisco... what a place!
Dan took us for a long, wonderful sightseeing day! We were very lucky, since the weather here has not been spoiling us (it is raining all the time), but that day we got SUN and a clear sky!
So, we started with an American breakfast at Jimmy's, in San Jose - biiiig proper breakfast! Now we were ready to see a little bit more of the world!
We knew stright away we were in the city of San Francisco by the hills. The famous hilly streets - a bit scary in the beginning but very cool after a while :) And the famous "red bridge" - The Golden Bridge. We saw it from above, we saw it from the water, we went ON it, we saw it from every angle! It is pretty impressive!
We also saw Alcatras - the old jail on a little island, with no chance of escape due to the cold water and the sharks!
On the way down town, we drove through the Lombard street - the most winding street existing, haha! And then we jumped on a cable car - the famous cable cars that takes you up and down the streets. And OF COURSE we wanted to stand, and hang outside the 'tram' :)
We walked through the city centre to the Fishermans Whorf, were we tried CRAB (!!), which was really good! The very first time for some of us :)
We ended our lovely day with a BIG time dessert!! :) By that time, the fog took over the city again, and we could barely see the road! So we saw everything that San Francisco is about !
We will definitely go back there before we leave California!
And all this thanks to you, DAN !!!! What a day!
