After sleeping next to the massive speakers on Phi Phi and leaving the party atmosphere, we took the 1,5h ferry to Koh Lanta. We didn’t really know what to expect. In result, we were astonished by the beach and the place where we stayed. We had a bungalow with a great view next to the beach. We could sit and relax in wooden houses and enjoy the sunset. We haven’t seen such a peaceful place before, free from tourists and parties where you can hear your own thought and relax close to the nature.

A good book and sun protector – that is all you need! Or maybe a banana shake! : )

Since we had become scooter fans, we decided to take day ride and see what else the island had to offer. We found an elephant farm where we went for trekking… this time sitting on elephants. After that, we enjoyed a baby elephant show. The whole thing in fact cool, but we felt sorry for the animals since they are prisoned on the farm in order to serve tourist entertainment. Next to the Andaman Bay, where we stayed, there was a nice bar called Black&White and a restaurant. We got to know the owners better and we helped them a bit with painting the tables (the bar is about to be officially opened soon) and fishing! That’s right – Andrzej went fishing with the owner and brought 17 huge fish! Therefore, we celebrated our last night on Koh Lanta with delicious fried fish served with garlic and pepper – yummy !!

We are definitely going to miss this place and the whole island. It would be great to go back there one happy day. Now it is time to move on.
